Official answer
Where can I check the sold price of a UK property?
HM Land Registry Price Paid Data records residential property sales submitted for registration in England and Wales. Search by postcode or address to see matching completed transactions, their dates, prices and property types. A missing match does not prove there was no sale because coverage and registration timing can vary.

People also ask
Are sold prices the same as asking prices?
No. Sold-price records show the consideration recorded for completed transactions; asking prices are marketing figures and can be different.
How quickly does a completed sale appear?
There can be a delay between completion, registration and publication. Recent transactions may not appear immediately.
Can unusual transfers distort a comparison?
Yes. Transfers, part-shares and other non-standard transactions may not be comparable with an ordinary open-market sale and should be reviewed carefully.
